Ive read quite a few different comments on all 3 and some seem conflicting. if so, the bank may be able to give you your money back if you dispute the charge for red oak and the install. Pretty sure they bleached their cabinets but who knows at this point. The wood Is white oak from Norway (from Cochrans in Virginia). Color we like the Bona Nordic best and the Bona Natural second, but they both have a muddy haze when you see them in real life. Just my 2 cents worth but typically, OAK flooring will shrink/expand ACROSS the grain it's usually pretty stable end to end, as with most hardwood species. I still hope to get my dream kitchen. This was such a great informative thread. Here Bona Natural is on the left in front of fireplace and Nordic is on the right surrounded by sanded white oak. Never to be heard from again. Bona I think I would have done semi-gloss as a base and the matte as a final top coat or maybe satin as a top coat. Press it very hard into the coating, and rip it up. They were super rich!
